STUDIO SERVICES
Recording
One fundamental question is wheter to record a band live or to record each instrument separately. Tracking one instrument at a time allows for perfect isolation and the ability to focus everyone’s attention on getting that part recorded perfectly. I use studio quality microphones and record all in Pro Tools or Logic.
Mixing
"To combine or blend into one mass or mixture."
And that's what it is. Here is the step where all that we recorded is mixed together, we get the levels right, eq's, compression, everything that makes your instrument parts play well together. I like to do a lot of this work "in the box", with plugins, but i find myself using hardware gear sometimes as well.
Mastering
Once we are happy with the mix and the overall feel of a song, we "send it" to the mastering process. This is the last part where the song get to sound really big, the purpose is to make it sound like a real professional record you would hear in the radio or in a music store.
